Good to Go!
Six days since being "Light, Nimble and Optimistic", I'm confident and ready to go. I've been continually going to the gym and cycling this past week; and with physical therapy complete, I'm feeling quite good and ready to ride tomorrow. Both my dad and mom are making the trip to BeaveRun this weekend. Joe and I will both be sporting our new leathers, while I'll have a new Arai ...

Immitation is the ..
I guess the saying holds true. Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Below you can see another "racing team" site that has essentially copied most of our site. Not done quite as well I'd say, but still a pretty close resemblence.http://vitaminxracing.com/Feel free to hop on their site and let them know what a great job they did. ;)

Light, Nimble and Optimistic
After hearing the news that I had to wait another four to six weeks before getting on the bike again and racing, I decided to seek a second opinion. I have a lot of respect for the doctor who has been absolutely great thus far, but I couldn't help thinking he might be acting a little overly-conservative - so I either wanted to confirm his opinion ...

Injury Update
I went and saw the doctor yesterday and had some fresh x-rays taken. Essentially I won't be able to ride for another 4-6 weeks. The bone isn't fully healed in several places and given how crumpled and shattered it was, the doc just won't give me the okay to ride. With him being team doctor for multiple pro-sports team (currently the Tigers and Pistons, along ...

Monday Morning Grind – Gingerman Summary
I couldn't stay away. Eric (Johnston) and I headed up to Gingerman Sunday morning and surprised my parents, having the pits setup before they got there. As painful as it is to watch guys I should be racing with, it was equally painful not being part of the team, so we made a day trip of it. Joe did well overall. A 4th, 3rd and ...

A Ginger Weekend
I'm laying low this weekend, while my dad and mom are heading to Gingerman for the 4th event on the WERA schedule. With my dad riding as well as he has, I think he'll be able to do pretty well at a track that used to be a local favorite of his. WERA hasn't raced there in years and he very well may have an advantage ...

Grattan Raceway Precap
This weekend WERA is holding its third event on the schedule in the lovely city of Belding, Michigan; home to Grattan Raceway. While I myself won't be riding, I will be there for the weekend supporting my dad who will be racing, along with having our bike on display and ready to ride. Dave Grey has agreed to help us out and will be riding ...

I Feel Slightly Better ..
... about crashing that is. In a recent article posted on Superbike Planet, Julian Ryder talks about Jorge Lorenzo's recent highside:"So how come Jorge Lorenzo managed to replicate the classic 500cc-era highside crash on the first day of the Chinese GP? It was a slow-speed crash but Jorge was flicked a long way up in the air, at one point he ...

WERA Round 1 – Nashville Recap (Don’t Look Back in Anger)
This is racing. It's easy to say that things could always be worse when an incident happens; mainly because it often could be. However when you have a lot of time on your hands sitting bandaged and broken, it's not difficult to think of what could have; and should have been - and how ...

On the Mend ..
Well I'm officially on the mend. After surgery Friday night, I've been laying low at home icing and loading up on pain medication. I have a couple pictures of the lovely damage off to the right in the Flickr image section.Basically I broke my collarbone in six places. The surgery was performed by Dr. Lemos (team doctor for the Detroit Tigers) and took about two ...
