Jennings Successful
The trip to Jennings was a long one, but worth it. With 70+ degree weather on both Saturday and Sunday, I was able to get some good riding in and learn the fun Jennings layout. The warm weather was perfect for shaking off some of the winter rust and getting a feel for the new suspension pieces on the bike. The bike had a completely different ...

Jennings is a Go
The road trip is on. We leave tonight. James, my dad and I spent last night putting the bike back together. James had brought the forks and shock with him, as we finished getting everything back on the bike. Aside from some minor details after Jennings (bodywork freshening up being the main thing), the whole bike has been gone through with a fine-tooth comb and ...

Monday Morning Grind
Plans are coming together for a mid-winter trip to Florida and a few days at the Jennings GP track this weekend. Dave, Eric and myself are making the long drive south on Thursday, with hopes to get in some good riding Saturday, Sunday and also possibly Monday.I haven't been to Jennings before, but I'm looking forward to throwing a leg over the big bike, ...

International Motorcycle Show This Weekend
This weekend is the International Motorcycle Show, which is being held in Novi. I'll be heading over there tomorrow to check it out. If you're into motorcycles, you'll surely see some familiar faces, as well as some big industry names and vendors. If you plan on going, you can save a few bucks by buying your tickets online and entering "WRIF" as the promo ...

Happy New Year
Hope you had a great Christmas filled with plenty of race parts and toys. As we approach 2007, the race season slowly draws nearer. What seemed like an eternity back in October is now about 4 months away. That even seems like a long time, but somehow the time will fly and it will be March before I know it. I've made a resolution to ...

Monday Morning Grind
If you're a fan of professional motorcycle racing, can you tell me what the differences are between the AMA Superbike and Superstock classes? As a current racer who tries to be somewhat up to date on what's going on, I can't even tell you what every distinct difference is between the classes. What I can tell you is that the Superbike, Superstock, Supersport, Formula Extreme ...

VP Introduces New MR-10 Race Fuel
VP has introduced a new race fuel, MR-10. It's a reported improvement over MR-9, which has been the best horsepower-generating VP product to date. I can only imagine what the price of 5 gallons will be, as MR-9 was over $110 last time I checked. Although, an extra couple HP for that one big race is never a bad idea (except for the wallet). For the full press ...

Official 2007 Schedules Posted
The WERA North Central and National schedules have been posted. The NC schedule doesn't pose any big surprises, but some slight changes from 2006. Autobahn and one of the Nelson Ledges events were removed, while adding Gingerman Raceway to the schedule - a nice addition.Nashville is again on the schedule. While I don't agree with it being part of the region, it's apparently there ...

2007 Race Schedule Posted (My Version Anyway)
If I were running the show (which I'm not), paying for track rentals (which I'm not), and making sure tracks were cooperative, affordable and good enough to race at (again, which I'm not), this would be my 2007 WERA North Central schedule. This doesn't take into account scheduling conflicts (which would surely arise) and a host of other variables that make booking a date more ...
