Suspension Preparations
The latest work on the bike has been to the shock. Joe had already gone through the forks and made sure they were good to go, altering the fluid level/air cushion slightly for Barber. Then onto the shock, he took it apart, rebuilt it, then took it apart and checked it again. Thorough. We have a special ...

Preparations Continue
Last night was spent at WKR "North", working further on getting the bike ready for Barber. I had already taken the swingarm and linkage apart and gone through it all, while Doug took aim at the steering stem and triple assembly. Dad was working on other bits and pieces including the exhaust mounts, as ...

Power Preparations
We visited the dyno this past weekend to check some things before the Grand National Finals next month. All in all, it was a very beneficial trip. We found some power up top and really tightened up the map between 11k and 13k. Apparently we've been running rich much of the season, so some good power ...

Free Yamaha YZ/WR Demos
On September 15, Honda East (yes, we know) and Yamaha will be hosting a demo event down at Delta Sports Park from noon until 5pm with a variety of Yamaha's on-hand. They're actually building out a track and will have YZ and WR models available to ride and try out. Pretty sweet.Check out the PDF flyer here for more info.

Windham Acres Summer Shandy Invitational
We had our third official "event" at Windham Acres this past weekend - the Summer Shandy Invitational. With 18 riders lined up for Superpole - all on little XR100's or TTR125's, it was pretty funny. Grown men and women riding little bikes is always entertaining. This was our biggest group yet and I had a blast ...

My last part was:"Thanks again for all your help dad. I would have certainly liked to have ridden better. I likely ended up getting in my own way when it came down to ...

Oscoda’s 100 Miles
This past weekend Gina and I headed up to her parent's place in Oscoda, Michigan for a few days. Her parents live on Cedar Lake and have a great place to get away and relax. Cell service is sketchy and it forced us to enjoy things and slow down a ...

Buckered Out in the Land of Buckeyes
Mid-O this past Saturday was a bit less than what I had hoped. I couldn't shake being sick and that seemed to affect my riding. Among my other excuses - new sealer on the track surface, a congested number of riders for the event and not having ridden ...

Focus…
Amidst my down time, I opted to put my trusty and reliable mountain bike up for sale. It was a Jamis 26 full suspension that I had bought a couple seasons prior and had ridden a great deal on. I loved the bike. I listed it because I kind of wanted to ...
