Monday Morning Grind
Plans are coming together for a mid-winter trip to Florida and a few days at the Jennings GP track this weekend. Dave, Eric and myself are making the long drive south on Thursday, with hopes to get in some good riding Saturday, Sunday and also possibly Monday.
I haven't been to Jennings before, but I'm looking forward to throwing a leg over the big bike, as it'll be a nice change from the little 50 I've been riding as of late. We've made some significant changes to the bike so hopefully I can learn the track rather quickly, and give some solid feedback on how the bike is working compared to last year. Suspension has been the elusive unicorn the past year and getting it dialed in would be a huge step of progress.
The trip is definitely a hike, but given the sub-freezing temperatures this week here in Michigan, it doesn't take much convincing to head south – especially with a group of guys that are fun to hang out with. Throwing bikes and warm weather in the mix is just an added bonus. I'll be bringing the camera and posting pictures as I get them.
