Anti-STT Destined
I must not be destined to make a Sportbike Track Time event this year. Gina and I were all packed, loaded and ready to go to Mid-Ohio this past weekend, when trouble struck at 2:00am Saturday morning. I was suddenly hit with food poisoning (or the stomach flu). I don't fully know the difference between the two, but it wasn't fun. I lost 5 pounds in the span of 10 hours. A *long* 10 hours.
Between that and the attempted trip to Putnam with Bob (another STT event), something seems to be against me making one of Monte and Bonnie's events. That trend will have to change however, as I've committed to a number of dates helping instruct/act as a control rider for STT.
While still kicking the lingering effects of whatever it is I have today, we're at least ready for this upcoming weekend at Nelson Ledges. It's the first race of the season and I'm ready to go. The bike is ready, and the rider .. well he'll hopefully be ready within 12-24 hours.
