AMA Roadrace Grand Championships
With the AMA/WERA Grand National Championships at Mid-Ohio coming up in a couple weeks, it’s basically the big finale to the season. It’s the last points-paying round on the schedule and each race is for a National Championship. The Horizon Award is given out, and there is plenty of tough competition to go around.
As part of the special event, each organization (WERA, CCS, CMRA, etc.) picks a team to represent them in the Team Challenge – a fun competition for bragging rights to show which organization is “the fastest”. This year I’ve been fortunate enough to be picked to represent WERA’s North Central team. Along with myself, Dave Grey and Sam Gaige will be on the team. We’ll get some added perks throughout the weekend, which I’ll talk about later, but basically it’s a great chance to represent WERA and have a little fun at the same time.
