AMA Pro?
It's official, I'm an AMA Pro rider. What does that mean exactly? Well, not too much just yet. I've got the actual Pro license and that's about it. I'm not a total schmuck, so the AMA has accepted my application (and application fee of course) and let me take a shot at competing in a pro race.
Not only do I need to get faster from where I was last year to put in a respectable showing, I need to actually qualify for the race. The top factory riders are always going faster each year and with that, the qualifying time needed to make the grid gets faster as well. So there's plenty of work to be done and speed to be found before we're fully ready to tackle our first AMA pro race. It is exciting though. Mid-Ohio will likely be the event and with it being in August, that should be enough time to prepare for it.
Below is a listing of all AMA Pro license holders. For a rookie, you're not allowed to run a two-digit number, so I went with 481 which is the number my dad last ran.

Way to go Eddie! It will be fun to see someone I now on SPEED.
Thanks Chip. Are you going to be doing some racing again this year? You seemed to fair pretty well in your comeback this past year.
