I Feel Slightly Better ..
… about crashing that is. In a recent article posted on Superbike Planet, Julian Ryder talks about Jorge Lorenzo's recent highside:
"So how come Jorge Lorenzo managed to replicate the classic 500cc-era highside crash on the first day of the Chinese GP? It was a slow-speed crash but Jorge was flicked a long way up in the air, at one point he was doing a handstand six feet above the tarmac. It let go as he picked the bike up from the long, long righthanded first corner and pitched it into the only slightly shorter left that is the second turn, the rear tyre skidding out to the right as it was asked to provide some grip on the left side. It was in fact a classic cold tyre crash."
On an unrelated note, both Jorge and I wear the same number 48.

Hi Eddie-
Hey, extremely sorry to hear about your injury. Certainly feel for what you going through where the pain of the circumstances are sometimes worse than the pain of the injury (but your shoulder does look quite painful!)
I’ve been way out of the loop so trying to get caught back up. You’ve put an impressive program together and, well, I’ll just say view this as a timeline setup but it ain’t over til it’s over! Keep at it and hope all is well with Gina, Matt and the folks….
Wes & Jan
Hey Wes – good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and Jan. Hopefully we will see you at the track soon. I’m not sure if you’re going to Grattan this weekend, but we’ll be there (Joe will be running his SV in a couple classes).
Yeah the injury is a bum deal, but it’s getting better. I’m hoping to be able to ride the scooter this weekend in the paddock at least. :)
Tell Jan I said hello.
