Grattan Raceway Precap
This weekend WERA is holding its third event on the schedule in the lovely city of Belding, Michigan; home to Grattan Raceway. While I myself won't be riding, I will be there for the weekend supporting my dad who will be racing, along with having our bike on display and ready to ride. Dave Grey has agreed to help us out and will be riding the 48 machine over the course of the weekend. The primary goal is to have the bike remain visible for our sponsors while I'm out of action and more or less just "be out there". Dave's a very strong rider, knows a lot about our program and will definitely keep things moving in a positive direction.
Joe, Doug and I will be there bright and early Friday morning for a day of practice, hoping to get Dave comfortable with the setup of the bike. He's already ridden it once at Putnam Park, so the transition should be a fairly smooth one. Ultimately we're not concerned with results, but rather want to have a good time in the upcoming weekend. Being at the track and having some fun will accomplish what we're looking to do, so it should be an enjoyable (albiet painful, since I can only watch) weekend.
