Friday Night Feed Via Holiday Inn
I'm sitting here in my room, utilizing wireless internet connectivity in a hotel for the first time. I'd have thought this would have happened sooner, but it's only recently that I've had a laptop to do this. Kudos to the Holiday Inn here in Newton Falls, as it's a really nice hotel and only 10-15 minutes from the track.
In any event, practice today at Nelson Ledges went well. The weather was warm and after getting new tires mounted after lunch, I got right near my best lap time here on the SV650. The track is still as bumpy as I remember it from 2004, but I think we might be able to make some adjustments to make the bike work a little better.
Dan (Cole), Mike (Flice) and Jeff (Kovack) are about the only people I really knew at the track today. My dad (Joe) can only be here for tomorrow's race, and James (Brighton Superbike) is on his way here as I type. I'm hoping to drop some more time in tomorrow's Middleweight Solo 20 race and carry that over to Sunday's sprint races. There's a host of fast guys here already, so I'm hoping they can help push me along.
I'm not sure I'll have a chance to post an update tomorrow night, but I'll have something Monday for sure if not.
Cheers,
- eddie
