AMA Mid-Ohio Prelude
We've got everything packed and are ready to go. Gina and I are leaving later this afternoon, stopping at Honda East on the way to pickup some fuel and a couple last-minute items. My dad and brother should get to the track Wednesday night, with Doug and Marion arriving Friday. Marion's graciously and swiftly provided some last minute crew shirts and "umbrella" apparel for the week/weekend which will look quite professional on the AMA grid.
We're doing AMA Supersport and Formula Extreme, so we've got a busy week ahead of us. Mike Fitzgerald (AKA Thermosman) will be at Mid-Ohio doing suspension and we will be having our forks and shock freshened up once he arrives. Garry will be there helping Taylor (Knapp) and doing a few other exciting things, so it'll be nice to have him to bounce ideas off of throughout the weekend.
I've changed my number for this event, running #481 which is my dad's race number. If you happen to watch the AMA's live timing for qualifying or the race, keep an eye out for it. I'll try to post updates from the hotel each day on how things are going and what's been happening ..
