Season Finale
This weekend is the last race of the season held at Nelson Ledges Road Course in Warren, Ohio. My dad is going in hopes of sealing up two class championships this year – a drastic turn from a guy who started out just doing one race on Saturday just for fun when the season started.
Tom (from Honda East) will be trying out the R6 in Senior Superbike, riding a four-cylinder machine for the first time in a long time. If all goes well, he'll hopefully love it and want to get one of his own. Although after selling his Aprilia I think he already has his eyes on another big twin in the Ducati 1098.
Other than that, I've been paying off the remains of the 2008 season (not a cheap one!) and planning for next year. There are a couple important sponsor meetings coming up in the next few weeks and those will go a long way in determining what the 2009 program will look like. It's never too early to start planning in that regard and hopefully the few lines I've thrown out there so far will bring in something to talk about for next year.
I'll have some pictures and video posted next week from this weekend. I'm going to try and get Tom's face after he comes in from riding a properly setup 600 for the first time. It'll be something he's never done before.
