Blame it on the Rain
Continuing the Wi-Fi experience for the second weekend, there's not much new coming from the cloudy skies of Joliet. As the picture above shows, we spent enough time away from the track today to snap a picture of our new friendly visitor.
We were up early this morning for one round of practice – two sessions; 600 and 750 were the groups. The weather was slightly warmer, but still wet. I managed some decent laps and was 5th fastest in the 750 practice group, setting a time just slower than what I did in qualifyinig on Friday which we were happy with.
After that, we packed up and just hung out away from the track while the endurance race went on. We went to the theater and caught Mission Impossible 3 which was pretty good. Afterwards we stopped back at the track, caught the last 30 minutes of the endurance race, grabbed some food, and are now back in the hotel.
Four sprint races tomorrow and more rain on the weather outlook, which I'm actually hoping for at this point, since every lap I've had on the track has been under wet conditions. So from the friendly yellow duck Howard, and the crew here, pray for rain. :)
