Monday Morning Grind
As the start of the season nears, the final pieces and numerous details of getting things ready are starting to fall into place. The bike for the most part is ready to go. There’s a few minor things to tweak, and sponsor stickers to place, but overall the bike is ready. This is good because there’s nothing worse than putting a race bike together in the late hours of the night days before a race. Aside from that, I’m just waiting on new leathers from Kushitani and a couple new helmets from Donny over at Suomy. Hopefully they’ll be here in time, but if not, it’s not the end of the world. I’m definitely looking forward to the new leathers, as I’ve never worn leathers that actually fit the way they are intended too.Â
The family is ready to hit the track too. There’s always that excitement for the first race of the year; especially since we weren’t there this past year. I’m personally looking forward to just being at the track and seeing everyone, just as much as I am to start racing again. With the hotel booked and the final details coming together, we just have to hope for some decent weather in Pennsylvania. The race last year had everyone racing in the rain, and snow – literally, from what I heard.
