On the Fast Trax
This weekend we're off to Nelson Ledges to get some much needed track time on the bike. After a so-so time at Grattan last weekend and with the first WERA round at Nelson next weekend, we figured this would be a good opportunity to get up to speed at Nelson Ledges. And with Fasttrax's 3-hour endurance race, there's not a much better way to get in some laps – especially with a sunny and warm forecast for Saturday.
We will be entering in the Iron Butt class, which is the solo-rider class for the series. We're doing it for the practice more than anything else and our goal is to try some things to get me more comfortable on the bike, work on the riding basics and put in competitive laps. Joe, Doug, Gina and I will be heading down Friday afternoon, with practice Saturday morning/early afternoon and the race starting at 4:00pm. Here's to a good weekend at the track ..
