The Witchkraft Files – Dog Days
By Doug Cornett:
Always we hear from some wag "the dog days of summer". This must be the Dog Days of Winter. Everything has slowed down and stopped. The wrenching sessions on the bike at the Witchkraft Racing World Headquarters and Bistro are a distant memory. The delightful odor of cleaning solvents mixed with the faint perfume of VP race fuel bring back thoughts of who won the contest of first blood by skinned knuckles or a safety wire stabbing wound. Why Eddie always won is a mystery to me.
The colorful shop has been decommissioned for the time being. I know there is an SV looking less than race worthy as the motor has no doubt been removed to be sent to whence it came for a long overdue spa treatment. I know that there are three pairs of talented hands trying to find solace in being active with something less exciting and rewarding than racing. One must do what one must do in these dog days of winter.

I got lots of Kold Kutters on order. Might as well make the best of it. We ride the dirt at Apex too. I’ve been trying to get Richard on the 150R for 2 years now.
We studded up the 50 tires before and had about 10-12 guys on a little road course. It was a riot. I think the 50 will be run indoors this winter, but it would be nice to grab a 150 to do some dirt track riding on .. know of any indoor barns that’d work?
Last year there was one near APEX. They are riding at APEX Sunday mostly minis just after noon.
Apex as in, near Richard?
Yeah!
