Fifth Bits
Nothing too major this time around. Keyless gas cap and Stomp Grip have trickled into the shop. More parts are on the way, which I'll show as they arrive.
As for 50 updates, I rode this past Sunday with the laptimer and was only able to manage times in the 26's. Lots of sliding around with both the front and the rear. The grip just isn't there with the 10-degree weather, which is the only reasoning that justifies the slower times (about a second/lap difference). It is fun sliding around – it just doesn't look good on the timer.
Justin and I went back and forth again throughout the morning. This time he put in a new plug and added some race fuel, so he was moving a bit quicker – as if he needs anything more added to his bike. Now I've gotta come up with something. I might try an 80/90 front tire and see if that's any better than the 90/90 I'm currently running. I let Gonyou take my bike out for a few laps and he commented how bad the front end chatters. It is stock after all, but I suppose I've just become used to it. Maybe the tire will make a difference. Justin and I were planning on swapping tires, but didn't get around to it. Gonyou suggested we completely swap front-ends just to compare, which we might do too. It is winter after all. Why not ..
