Settling In, Kinda
The last couple of weeks have been pretty hectic. Gina and I moved into a new place, so we've been busy packing, unpacking and trying to get a ton of work done at the new house. The list of stuff we've done so far is long, but the list of what's left to do is even longer. We're probably 60% moved in, with some stuff still at our old place that we need to move back this week – and the rest either in the house or (the majority it seems) still in boxes out in the garage. Hey, at least we've now got cable and a TV.
Other than that, we're still waiting on the new bike to arrive. It should be anytime now, as the release date of the 2010 R6 is slated to be January/February. It's probably a blessing in disguise that it hasn't arrived yet, given all that's going on with the house. It's been so busy that just getting to the gym has been an accomplishment. I start doing lower body stuff today and while I'm not far off from where I need to be, I feel that I've been slacking a bit and need to correct that starting this week.
In other news – Joe and Doug are currently on their way to North Carolina as I type, heading towards Ohlins where they will be taking the two-day Ohlins class taught by Mike Fitzgerald, among other big names at the Ohlins U.S. headquarters. I think they're both pretty giddy about the trip – being taught by the best suspension guys in the country is pretty exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of knowledge and info they come back with. As an added bonus, they're staying with Eric (Johnston) and Shelley who live nearby, so I'm sure an excessive amount of scotch will be drank/drunk over the next 72 hours.

We haven’t drinked too much scotch, although Joe and Doug did miss today’s class. No worries, your setup isn’t really that important anyway.
Too much scotch. Eric will be the end of me. I’ve got another chance today to learn Ohlins. Wish me luck.
When tuning, aim for the middle knob. Maybe we’ve been going after the wrong kind of sponsors all this time…
We be smart, we be smart, s.m.r.t smart. Eric sez, “stop playing with your middle knob”. Joe sez, “More scotch”.
Dear lord. ..
The boys are on the road. Shelley and I had a great time having them here with us. Looking forward to a great season being with the team.
Awesome. Wish I could have been there. Talk to you guys soon!
