BT – These Hopeful Machines
Just got the latest album from BT. Great 2-CD set and if you like electronic music, it's worth grabbing. He's been one of the innovators on the scene and amidst all the DJ sets out there today (which are still solid), his music is a fresh shot in the arm from what you'll commonly hear on BPM, Area 38, etc.
If you haven't heard of BT, you've likely seen movies where he's composed part of the soundtrack. One big one was "Never Gonna Come Back Down" which is in Gone in 60 Seconds. Here's one review from Wired on his latest:
BT Talks These Hopeful Machines, Math and Inspiration
Doug, don't worry – you'll get to hear it on our way to Indy. I'm sure you'll love it.

Hey now…when we went to Rosma’s shop and you forced me to listen for like 20 hours…I came away from the experience a changed man. I enjoyed it. Did I think that out loud? If Mr. Crew Chief rejects it… then you know where I stand. Gotta be team playa ya know.
He’s all for it, though so be careful. We’ll mix in Alt Nation, Octane and Classic Vinyl for some good blend though.
On a different note, however still in the field of music, this March…13th to be exact, Silversun Pickups and Muse will be teaming up to play at the Palace.
Although I have been a fan of SS since their first album I found on the “New and Upcoming Artists” shelving almost two years ago, I am willing to bet that Muse live would be a stellar performance. They have a sound that nobody can recreate, bringing together a cultural experience.
That would be a good concert … love Silversun and I like some of the stuff I’ve heard from Muse.
A very fulfilling purchase indeed.
The various remixes of the singles are equally as good. There’s an Adam K & Soha remix of Rose Of Jericho that’s very good.
Also, James Grant & Jaytech have a new remix of Flaming June that I heard on Gareth Emery’s latest podcast today. Also a stellar track.
Now… Muse. Eddie, if you would like the discography, tell me and I will make sure it’s in your hands next time you are here. Some of their older stuff is very good.
Fill it up! The Adam K and Soha remix and Flaming June remix would be nice too, sir.
