Lack of Preparation / Indy Dealer Show
Lackluster fifty ride last night. It was cold and whatever else, but I hadn't taken the time to go over the fifty beforehand like I normally do. I just dusted it off and went out to ride. Turns out she wasn't running right – likely from the carb not having been cleaned after sitting for a few weeks, so the bike was sputtering and dragging out of corners. I plugged along, slid around and aimed to put in some good times, but sort of a wasted ride overall. It's funny how significant being ready and prepared can make a difference. Even in the rush to get out there to ride, I wasn't as focused and ready to go as normal and it showed in how the overall riding went. Definitely unlike the norm – lesson learned.
In other news, we're off to Indianapolis this weekend for the Indy Dealer Show. We've gone the past several years and it's always been a beneficial trip. We have a lot of people to talk to and this is the place to do it. Joe, Doug and I are heading out Friday after work and will be busy all day Saturday. We're having dinner with some sponsors Saturday night at St. Elmo's, and likely heading to Radio Radio to watch Healing Sixes play later that night. It was a great time last year and should be more of the same. OTT will again be there as well. They had some race videos running on the big screen last year from the WERA Grattan National at the time, which featured Joe winning the Formula 2 race at the time – cool stuff, of course.
Cheers,
eddie

I had a great time Eddie. Thanks for pulling this together. I’m really looking forward to the racing season with Jeff and our continued focus.
Me too Doug. Another solid and worthwhile trip. Now we just need that bike …
