Eighth Bits
Motion Pro's digital tire gauge is the latest trick in the shop. It's a great tool, as we used it out the other night with the new bike on the table. It measures to tenth's of a pound in pressure so you get the exact reading you want. It also reads digitally for even more precision than a typical analog gauge.
This tool is really quite bad for someone like me who can become overly-focused when it comes to the details. If you see me during final call with the gauge in-hand trying to get the tires to a specific tenth of a pound, please come over and punch me. Other than that, I'm looking forward to using this extremely trick bit this season, although I think Joe and Doug may keep it out of my hands altogether.
Cheers,

Nice guage. Wonder how long the batteries live? Tell you what, I’ll supply spare batteries if I can have the “old” analog Motion Pro guage? Waddaya say?
We’ll find out .. Crew chief says he wants two gauges on hand at the track. We do have another good gauge that Matt currently has .. I’ll see if we can get that one back.
Next comes nitrogen filled tires…..
They do offer that at the Pirelli truck ..
Well to throw another wrench into the mix , I have received my scale and we can now measure the weight distribution of the bike to the tenth’s. Every tenth of air = weight distribution…… You wont even have time to race the bike….
I’d really be interested to see with me on the bike, how the weight distribution is affected. Full tuck, sitting up, leaning over to the side, etc. I’ll bring the bike over for sure …
