Knox’s New Handroid Gloves
Knox has come out with an all-new line of gloves which are extremely trick. I was able to try them out a couple weeks ago for the first time as Knox is a new team sponsor this year. Coming from the Held Phantom glove (one of the best gloves out there), the Knox stacks up just as strong right with it. The glove itself was actually more comfortable and it's the most comfy glove I've ever worn. The difference is really quite noticeable.
The Handroid has a completely different system for locking down the glove once it's on your hand. Rather than a couple straps you have to fumble around with, Knox uses the BOA system (used in snowboarding from what I've been told) that consists of a turn-knob that tightens the glove around your hand. To loosen it, you just pop up the knob and it releases, making glove removal a snap. It's a little different at first, but after doing it a few times, it's easier than any other glove and I think it helps make the glove more comfortable overall, with the even distribution of tightening forces.
So if you're looking for some new gloves, check Knox out. If you're at the track and want to try a pair on, let us know. As with most everything, Honda East can get them and they are quite competitively priced right now with the Held gloves. From what I've been told, a couple people have crash tested them and all results are pointing to the fact that they hold up extremely well. Knox is known for being a top-level armour company and I'm fairly certain these gloves will follow suit.
