WERA ‘10, Round 7: BeaveRun Motorsports Park (Rebound)
We had a solid showing this past weekend at BeaveRun. Dad, Jeff, Aaron and I made the trip over to BeaveRun. Jeff rebounded extremely well, aftering getting flown away from the track in our last WERA race here. He set a new personal best laptime with a 58.1 and finished on the podium in nearly all his races, while locking in a 2nd place finish in the last race of the day. Aaron got up to speed at a new track for him on a 600 and dropped time throughout the weekend. He like everyone else, would have benefited from more track time.
The weather was a little cool Friday and Saturday, but was perfect on Sunday. Jeff threw down fast laps and rode about as well as I've seen him ride. We made some significant changes to the bike Saturday night and he definitely responded well to them. We learned some things on Sunday that should help him out next time we visit the Beave.
The final regional round of the season is in a few weeks at Nelson Ledges. We'll be there and be ready to go. More pics from the weekend can be found below.
