Pit Bull’s Detachable Rear Stand
We received the new(er) Pit Bull stand a week or so ago and I thought, "Okay, a new stand – great." I was a little apprehensive at first, as this stand had one of the detachable handles on it. Will this work as well as our existing Pit Bull stands have worked? Will it just work for the street guy and be a hassle for the racer? How about durability?
Silly me. Charlie and Pit Bull show time and time again that any product or update to a product they come out with, is fully thought out and engineered to make sure it's a significant improvement – and not just something new for the sake of being new.
The stand works just like all the other ones. The detachable handle is quite easy to remove and put back on. It's not time consuming and if you never want to take the handle off, no problem. As the picture above shows, having the bike on the table is the main case where we'd take the handle off. Countless times dad or I have walked around while deep in thought and working on something – and smack, we'd run into the handle of the stand. No more! :) It's also useful when storing your bike in the corner of the garage or trailer for the winter. That extra 8-12in. can make a difference.
Now I just need to ask the crew at Pit Bull about a motorized version that simply does the altogether …
