Switching Gears
Of course there's the play on words, but it's funny how I switch gears from week to week when thinking about a particular race track. Last month after the Nelson race, all I was thinking about was Nelson Ledges. With a couple Grattan trackdays soon thereafter, I switched my thinking over to Grattan and what I needed to do to go faster. After then leaving Grattan, having gone faster (yet not fast enough), I was still thinking about how to go better there. And now, I'm shifting my normal daily focus back to Nelson for the upcoming WERA race.
I'm probably just pointing out what most racers do already. Or realizing how much time I spend thinking about racing .. probably a bit of both actually.
