A Blast From the Past
I was looking through some old photos the other day and stumbled onto this one. It's from 2003 which was my first year with WERA. To get some extra track time, I entered a few Middleweight races as an amateur and this one was from Grattan (any idea which turn?).
I remember this race in particular as we finished inside the Top 10 in the commonly-referred to "meatgrinder" class. This was back when the grids were pretty large and I remember thinking the entire time during the race, "These guys on 600's are crazy!"

Thanks to Keith (Koeppen) who emailed to say hey, as that’s him chasing me in this photo. I believe he went on to pass me over the jump two turns later! Keith also accurately pointed out this is T3 at Grattan. Thanks Keith. Hopefully see you at the track next season.
