Putting in the Hours
This past weekend was a busy one. Dad and I were working on bikes all day Saturday and Sunday. Aaron, Doug and Marion came by on Sunday, as well as Jim (Cottrell) to pick up his WM-built suspension and check out stuff on the R6 for his own bike that he just picked up. Jimmy Johns was the preferred lunch supplier, delivering freaky-fast food to the back door of the shop – to which they were promptly greeted with a hello, thanks and quick goodbye, as we ate and got back at it.
Joe worked on suspension pretty much all weekend, tearing apart and rebuilding forks and shocks left and right. He's been busy with work, which is both a good and challenging thing when trying to build and prep three race bikes at the same time. Meanwhile, we had two of the bikes in the shop both waiting on things (wheels, motor, YEC parts) before we could move any further on them, so I took to working on the chassis of the new 2012 R6 – starting at the back of the bike and working my way forward. In the photo, you see Aaron and I bleeding brakes with the new Spiegler brake lines on the bike – just one of the things we were working on.
Thanks to Aaron for all his help, as well as Doug and Marion too (above photo taken by Marion as well). I have a feeling this upcoming weekend will be just like the last one ..
