Detroit Custom Paint
Brian Pfeifer and the guys over at Detroit Custom Paint did our bodywork this year and man, did they ever do a great job. They've painted out bodywork in years' past and this time was no different – with the crew doing an absolutely incredible job.
After going over what we kind of wanted, Brian used a high-grade PPG paint, matched up to the special red w/orange tint we've used the past several years that have seemed to brand our bikes. We went back to the "2009" scheme a little bit, while adding a bit more white to it, and switching over to a matte black, rather than a high gloss black, which I think looks really sharp. Brian shot everything white, then did the red and black and followed it up with clear – with the end result being really outstanding.
Brian's been painting for years (he used to race too) and does a lot of commercial and industrial work, while doing cars and bikes that are in shows across the country. When we picked up the bodywork, I couldn't get over how good it looked. It looked like they had dipped the bodywork in glass. It's really too nice to use for racing.
Thanks again guys for all the hard work. Photos of the new livery to follow soon ..
