Mid-Ohio, More Rain
Quick recap - wet morning. Two practice sessions. I highsided in the second session (not a big deal, but it was one of those weird crashes). So James and my dad busted their butts to get the bike ready to go for 750 qualifying, which was less than an hour away (rearsets and exhausts were the main parts needing replacing). We had the bike re-tech'd by WERA officials just as the session had started. I put in some quick laps and was really comfortable on the bike. I ended up qualifying on the front row, 3rd fastest overall, fastest 600 in the group.
The races didn't go so well. I finished 9th and 11th. One race was wet, the other was in the dry. We've been changing setup multiple times and I've had a hard time adjusting to the different setups in the changing conditions. The silver lining is that I think we learned some stuff today that should prove helpful tomorrow.
Wish us luck - 600 Supersport is the big race and I need to finish within the top 20. We qualified 19th (see previous post for Friday qualifying recap).
Kudos also to teammates Dave (Grey) and Charlie (Coleman). Charlie pocketed two wins and Dave nailed a second place finish himself.
