AMA Mid-Ohio, Racing in Front of a Crowd
What a blast this past weekend was. There's so much to talk about, but I'll just give a quick recap that we finished 6th in the AMA Sports 600 Shootout, which I'm pretty happy with. We finally got back down to the times I qualified at last Friday, which was at least a step in the right direction. I really wanted to be going two seconds faster, but seeing that we struggled to get back to our qualifying times most of this and last weekend, I'm not complaining. 6th was a solid finish against the competition that was there. Congrats to Dan (Sheehan) and Bill (Stranahan) who rode great yesterday, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Racing in front of the big crowd that was at Mid-Ohio was awesome. It's a rush all in of itself just to be in that kind of environment. A few autographs, photos, the overall networking with other riders/teams/sponsors that goes on during a weekend. It's just another level altogether compared to the racing I've been accustomed to, and I couldn't pick a much better way to end the 2006 season.
Much more to come ..

Eddie.
Again, congrats!
Sounds like you had a great season.
Thanks Nik – it worked out pretty well overall. Some highs and lows, but we learned quite a bit. Did you get those tires?
Sure did. Thanks again for the help. Unfortunately, they’ve changed the schedule on me and the race in my ‘hometown’ has been changed so now I’m not sure when is the best time to break out my secret weapons. New tires in Mexico are like having webbed feet in a triathalon.
Awesome. Make sure and take pictures.
